305 Fitness

Class Format: Created by Sadie Kurzban, 305 Fitness is a fierce dance cardio class with a live DJ. No prior dance experience is required, but you’ll be moving your body nonstop and learning choreography that will help you become a better dancer and build stamina and confidence. This class is 95% cardio, takes place in a dimly lit room that feels more like a nightclub than a gym. Here, you can burn 700+ calories in under an hour while getting lost in the music. Yes, it’s true, there is a LOT of twerking in these classes.

How often should you go? “I recommend 2 classes per week,” says Founder Sadie Kurzban. “We are changing the conversation about bodies, about needing to purge or discipline your body and instead, we are celebrating every person who walks through our doors. It’s a real party every day! ”

When can you start seeing results? “Most clients report seeing results after just 4 or 5 classes. It’s incredibly effective!”

Class Format: Wondering where the Victoria’s Secret Angels hit the gym? One word: DOG POUND. Models, moguls, influencers, and tastemakers in NYC swear by this personal training gym, where clients have the choice of joining in on a class, working out with a friend or partaking in one-on-one training. Everyone’s body is different, and DOG POUND offers a fully personalized workout for your individual needs. Workouts include high-intensity training, boxing, strength training, and more.

How often should you go? “Fitness is all about getting what you put into it. If you commit to working out consistently, as well as adjusting dietary habits outside of the gym, you will begin to feel and notice the results your body is making soon,” says Rhys Athayde, founding trainer at DOG POUND.

Class Format: P.Volve was founded by celebrity and Victoria’s Secret trainer, Stephen Pastorino. At P.volve, you’ll never do the same workout twice; it consists of hundreds of moves with a primary focus on the glutes. Since the glutes are the body’s biggest muscle group, P.volve’s method will help you learn how to properly activate them to help achieve a lifted, perkier booty as well as aiding in better form, posture, and a stronger core.

When can you start seeing results? You’ll start seeing results within 1-2 months. When clients go this consistently, you’re training your body to activate certain muscles and joints that you typically don’t work (or even know to exist!) in other workouts.

How often should you go? Ideally, clients should be going to P.volve 3-4 days/week.

The Dance by Amanda Kloots @ Studio B

Class Format: Created by Amanda Kloots, celebrity trainer and former Broadway dancer and Radio City Rockette, this 55-minute high energy cardio dance class will have you breaking a sweat within the first few minutes. She creates new choreography to your favorite songs for each class, so expect something different each time.

When can you start seeing results? “When my clients come three times a week, their bodies have really transformed, says Kloots. “Once you know the choreography you are able to get out of your head and really let loose so you dance harder and allow yourself to go full out!”

Work Train Fight

Class Format: Boxing is typically not seen as female-friendly. With the majority of WTF’s clientele being female, there is an underlying sense of reassurance that this is something that you can excel at—and be badass at. Unlike most places, WTF does not believe in sticking you with a punching bag for an hour and call that boxing. They combine real boxing with strength training to maximize results. Classes are all 55 minutes long and focus on proper technique and form, providing trainer-guided shadowboxing, bag work, mitt work and high-intensity circuit training all in one class. With our average class size being 15-18 people, the trainers teach, interact and correct every person in the room. “Our goal is for you to leave the classroom knowing more and feeling more confident than when you walked in,” says Nikki Campbell, an instructor and the Director of Staff Development at WTF. It is not forever simple to muster up the energy you need to do all the things that need to be performed each day. Especially if you have don’t get a best night’s sleep or you have been overworking yourself. That is why many people look for that extra energy improve that they get from the best energy drink with caffeine.

When can you start seeing results? “Mental results will happen immediately and cardiovascular results will happen in two weeks, where you will see a big jump in endurance and conditioning. Actual physical results will happen in three-four weeks. You will see your self losing weight, arms and core getting stronger and overall health improvement. It’s mental and physical confidence that we provide that makes WTF people’s second home,” says Campbell.
